Director of the Harvard Ethics Leadership Group (HELG)

The Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics is to soliciting applications for the role of Director of the Harvard Ethics Leadership Group (HELG) (start date in the spring of 2022). We are seeking candidates who have substantial experience on a hospital-based ethics consultation or advisory service.  A position description is appended below.

We will be accepting applications until 5:00 PM on November 30, 2021. To apply for the position of the Director of the HELG please submit:

  • A personal statement of no more than two pages outlining your career goals, your qualifications for the position, your reasons for wanting to serve as the Director of the HELG at the HMS Center for Bioethics, and the expected changes to your schedule that would be necessary to fulfill this commitment; and
  • A copy of your Curriculum Vitae
  • Please submit the above materials to Kyle Amato at kyle_amato@hms.harvard.edu.  Please use the subject line “Application for Director of the HELG” and attach your personal statement and CV as a single pdf.  Please name the PDF according to the following convention: “LastName_FirstName_HELG application” no later than 5:00 P.M., November 30, 2021
