Curriculum

The following are some examples of topics covered during the Fellowship in Bioethics at Harvard Medical School. Topics and lecturers for future sessions are dependent on scheduling availability.

• Physician Aid-in-Dying taught by Brendan Abel, legal counsel at Massachusetts Medical Society
• Rationing taught by Robert Truog, former director of the Center for Bioethics and Frances Glessner Lee Professor of Medical Ethics, Anaesthesia & Pediatrics
• Neuroethics taught by Thomas Cochrane, director of medical affairs at Biogen
• Ethical Issues in Genomics taught by Ingrid Holm, pediatric endocrinologist and geneticist at Boston Children's Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical 
• Narrative Ethics taught by Martha Montello, lecturer, Harvard Medical School and Editor-in-Chief, Perspectives in Biology and Medicine
