Unini Odama, MD, MPH, MBE, FASN is a 2025-2026 Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow, nephrologist, public health practitioner, and bioethicist. She received her medical training at the University of Jos in Nigeria, completed her internal medicine training at Michael Reese/University of Illinois, pursued a fellowship in general nephrology and kidney transplantation at Virginia Commonwealth University, earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) from Emory University, and obtained her Master of Bioethics (MBE) from Harvard Medical School's Center for Bioethics. Dr. Odama's experience includes serving as the physician lead for infection prevention and management, as well as kidney health equity, at DaVita Kidney Care and as a health director for the Georgia Department of Public Health. She currently serves as a teaching instructor for the Master of Bioethics program as an Affiliate at Harvard Medical School's Center for Bioethics. Her recent publications include “A Patient-Centered Approach to Kidney Care,” and her interests include preventing chronic diseases, frameworks for health excellence, and utilizing health policy to achieve optimal health outcomes.
