Miranda Blodgett, MA Bioethics, BPhil, BAPS, HEC-C is a Clinical Ethicist and Human Rights Officer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She received her undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Maine, Orono, in 2020. She further pursued her education at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she received a Master of Arts in Bioethics, May 2023. In addition, she holds her Healthcare Ethics Consultation Certification (HEC-C) from the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities. She is dedicated to enhancing the experiences of patients, families, and staff in light of resource constraints often encountered in healthcare. Her passion lies in creating an environment that effectively addresses the complex ethical dilemmas that arise during hospital admissions. Her primary interests in bioethics include clinical ethics, quality improvement initiatives, improving ethics consultation processes for resource-constrained community hospitals, and policy review and development.
