Kirstie Russell, JD, BCL, MPH, MSc is a clinical and organizational ethicist at Vancouver Coastal Health, one of the largest regional health authorities in Vancouver, Canada. Kirstie completed her law degrees at McGill University, Canada and was called to the Bar in 2022. She also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto and a Master of Science degree from the Center for Bioethics at Harvard Medical School. Prior to becoming an ethicist, Kirstie worked at an international law firm and at the BC Ministry of Health. Kirstie also serves as an ethicist member on the Research Ethics Board (REB) at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. Her bioethical interests include the ethics of consent, end-of-life care (including medical assistance in dying), public health ethics, and AI ethics.
