
John Peteet, MD
John Peteet, MD is a psychiatrist at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He received his BS from Wheaton College (IL) and his M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. His scholarly work has focused on psychosocial oncology, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and the clinical interface between spirituality/religion and medicine. Bioethical areas of interest include virtue ethics, moral injury and the role of the clinician in the patient's moral life. A Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, he has received several teaching awards and published numerous papers and is the recipient of the American Psychiatric Association's Oskar Pfister Award.
