Gloria Mason Ross, MBE is academically trained as a Bioethicist from Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics, with over ten years of experience and extensive expertise in Bioethical issues, research ethics strengthening, Human Subject Protection Specialist, managing Clinical Research, Site preparations, and organizational structure. Ms. Ross has excellent interpersonal and professional relationship-building skills that can be effectively demonstrated across a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences. I have strong institutional building skills based on my extensive expertise in structurally transitioning the National Research Ethics Board (NREB) from a fundamental ethical institution during its stabilization phase to a health emergency during the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak and the existing post-EVD recovery period. In this role, I played a collaborative leadership role in the conduct of rigorous clinical trials and the strengthening of research ethics education in Liberia. Through the development of guidelines for the protection of human subjects in research and vulnerable populations. I play leadership roles in several sub-regional professional bodies, including the West African Consortium for Clinical Research on Epidemic Pathogens (WAC-CREP), where I serve as Executive Director, strengthening Clinical Research capacities, harmonizing ethical frameworks, and fostering Clinical research collaboration in West Africa. Former president, Network of West African Ethics Committees. Additionally, she authored and co-authored peer-reviewed manuscripts as well as served as a faculty/Lecturer at the College of Health Sciences, University of Liberia (ULCHS), School of Public Health (ULSOPH) Master's and PhD programs, respectively.
