Emma J. Kagel, JD, MBE, HCE-C, LPEC is a Conflict of Interest and Industry Relations Officer in the Integrity and Compliance Department at Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH). She received her JD from the University of Washington-Seattle and her Masters in Bioethics from Harvard Medical School's Center for Bioethics as part of its inaugural class. After years of practicing at the bedside as a clinical bioethicist, Ms. Kagel transitioned to research bioethics. Her current bioethical areas of interest are disability ethics; quality improvement, health policy and social justice; organizational ethics in healthcare leadership; and professionalism in clinical ethics consultation. Ms. Kagel is also passionate about mentoring and supporting the development of Bioethics as an interdisciplinary practice.
