Deirdre Finnegan Puccetti, MD, is a physician in the medical intensive care unit at Boston Children’s Hospital. She received her BS in neuroscience from Union College, New York, her MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Tennessee, and completed a residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Her research during residency investigated safety and outcomes of brain death evaluation in children. She is interested in bioethical issues relating to pediatric illness, physician-family communication, and end-of-life care. She was the recipient of the Mildred T. Stahlman Award from Vanderbilt School of Medicne. She enjoys reading and is excited about her recent move home to Boston.
