Colleen Farrell, MD, HEC-C is a pulmonary and critical care physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She received her MD from Harvard Medical School, completed her residency in internal medicine at New York University School of Medicine/Bellevue Hospital and her fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine and in clinical ethics at NewYork Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. She is a member of the ethics committee at BWH and teaches in the HMS medical ethics and professionalism curriculum. Her writing on the emotional and ethical challenges of medical training has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Nation, JAMA, and CHEST, among other publications.
