Colleen Farrell, MD, HEC-C is a pulmonary and critical care physician at Cambridge Health Alliance and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She received her MD from Harvard Medical School, completed her residency in internal medicine (primary care) at New York University School of Medicine/Bellevue Hospital and her fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine and in clinical ethics at NewYork Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. She is active in medical education at HMS as the Core Faculty Site Director for the Cambridge Integrated Clerkship and a regular faculty member in the Medical Ethics and Professionalism courses. Her narrative and scholarly work on the emotional and ethical challenges of medical training has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Nation, JAMA, CHEST, and Academic Medicine.
