Basel Tarab, MD, MBE, MHA

Basel Tarab, MD, MBE, MHA is the Director of Patient Experience, Transport and Volunteers, and the Co-chair of the Ethics Committee at Winchester Hospital - Beth Israel Lahey Health. He received his MD from Misr University of Science and Technology, MBE from the Harvard Medical School Center of Bioethics, and MHA from Boston College - Woods College of Advancing Studies. He completed a Fellowship in Bioethics at the HMS Center of Bioethics. Dr. Tarab is interested in discovering the similarities and differences in bioethics theory and practice across cultures and religions. His work is focused on clinical ethics and Islamic bioethics. He is the recipient of the Early Careerist Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives of Massachusetts as well as Boston Children’s Excellence Award.
