Ausubel R. Pichardo, MBE is a college instructor and researcher who is concerned about how poverty can hinder educational opportunities, healthcare, and other forms of social development. He graduated from Harvard Medical School with a Master of Science in Bioethics, specializing in financial toxicity. His interests include building patient navigation systems for US hospitals to improve healthcare delivery, communication, and patient engagement. Outside of writing and teaching, Ausubel can be found at the gym, running a Spartan Race, skydiving, or traveling the world, seeking the perfect combination of hot chocolate and croissants.
