Scot Bateman, MD, is a professor of pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and Division Chief of Pediatric Critical Care at UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center. He is a graduate of Dartmouth Medical School and completed both his pediatric residency and fellowship in pediatric critical care at Boston Children’s Hospital. He has a master of arts in clinical investigation from Boston University School of Medicine and is board-certified in general pediatrics, pediatric critical care, and palliative care medicine. He is interested in ethical challenges involved in end-of-life care in the ICU.
