The fatal risk of denying abortion access to persons with disabilities

Center Director of Reproductive Ethics Louise King, MD, JD was quoted in a Time article on the risk to the lives of disabled people that has resulted from the reversal of Roe v. Wade, and the consequent inaccessibility of abortion in parts of the United States. King noted the increased risks of pregnancy for the health of persons with disabilities. For those patients, she stated, providing medical care requires offering "the option of termination if it's better for their health."
