Do health care organizations have a role in social justice movements?

Associate Faculty Director of the Master of Science in Bioethics, Kelsey Berry, PhD, and colleagues published an essay in the Hastings Center Report about the question of whether or not health care organizations have a duty to participate in social justice movements. Berry et al. wrote that health care organizations do have a role to play in social justice movements, as such organizations can be seen as citizens themselves. That role, they argued, "has been largely ignored and merits serious attention."
