Lauren Walsh, MA, JD, is a health care attorney practicing in the Office of General Counsel at Mass General Brigham. Previously, she practiced in the Office of General Counsel at Harvard University and the Health Care group at Ropes & Gray LLP. Lauren teaches the ethical and legal implications of biotechnology and human subjects research in the Master of Bioethics program at Harvard Medical School. Her interest in the intersection of law and ethics in biomedical research is informed by her work, which includes counseling on state and federal law related to clinical research, advising on research misconduct proceedings and research collaborations, and assessing research integrity functions and compliance programs. She also advises on health care transactions, digital health initiatives, and nonprofit corporate governance matters. Ms. Walsh received her AB cum laude from Harvard College, her MA from New York University Graduate School of Arts and Science, and her JD from New York University School of Law.
