Genevieve Saphier, RN, MSN, WHNP

Director of Administration

Genevieve Saphier, RN, MSN, WHNP, is the director of administration for the Center for Bioethics and is responsible for the development, communication, and operationalization of the Center's strategic goals. Genevieve has an undergraduate degree in history from Columbia University, both bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a licensed women's health nurse practitioner. Her clinical practice has included the care of IVF patients as well working as a sexual assault nurse examiner. The majority of her career, however, has been spent in higher education and research administration at Harvard University and at the Broad Institute.

Before coming to the Center for Bioethics, Genevieve was part of the Harvard community for more than ten years, in the Departments of Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) and Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology (SCRB) where her roles ranged from developing and managing human egg and embryo donation protocols, to managing a team of administrators who supported research compliance for the SCRB department. At the Center for Bioethics, Genevieve serves as a key member of the leadership team and works with the directors and staff to implement the strategic mission of the Center.
