About Weekly Consortia
Bioethical questions should not be answered in a vacuum. They are questions for families, for communities and societies, as well as professionals, to consider. Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics is the nucleus of the world's largest biomedical community, convening ethics leaders and practitioners at ongoing events.
Each week during the academic year, the Center hosted consortia in health law and policy, research ethics, organizational ethics, and clinical ethics to build capacity at Harvard's affiliated hospitals and across Boston. Major themes included discussions on how biomedical innovation and health care delivery are affected by ethical norms, laws, and regulations; multi-disciplinary forums for members of ethics committees and ethics support services; and participants learning from each other's experiences and sharing consultation, support, and resources in this evolving field.
