Sam D. Kim, DMin, MDiv, is the senior minister at 180 Church NYC. He received his DMin in ethical leadership at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, exploring pervasive and adaptive issues in the emotional ecology in the soul of the leader. He conducted further research at Yale School of Medicine, exploring professional burnout among caregivers. He is interested in the bioethical moral dilemmas surrounding the prevalence of professional burnout in the caregiving professions and questions surrounding national policy, including what needs to be done to alter or create policy that can actually effect change. He is a recipient of the Lifelong Learning Fellowship at Yale Divinity School and Yale School of Medicine, which aims to to close the gap between faith and science, and is awarded by the John Templeton Foundation and American Association for the Advancement of Sciences.
