Wes Boyd, MD, PhD is on the faculty at the Center for Bioethics and an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He is a staff psychiatrist at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) and is the co-founder of the Human Rights and Asylum Clinic at CHA. Wes graduated with a BA cum laude from Yale in philosophy. He then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received an MA in philosophy, a Ph.D. in religion and culture, and a medical degree.
Lynne Brady Wagner, MA, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist and is the Director of the Stroke Program and the Chair of the Ethics Advisory Committee at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She earned a graduate certificate in Healthcare Ethics from Rush University Medical School and was a Disability Ethics Fellow at Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago.
Amalie Moses Kass Professor of the History of Medicine in the Department of Social Medicine (In the Faculty of Medicine)
Allan M. Brandt is the Amalie Moses Kass Professor of the History of Medicine and Professor of the History of Science. He holds a joint appointment between the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Harvard Medical School. Brandt served as Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences from 2008 to 2012. He earned his undergraduate degree at Brandeis University and a Ph.D.
Rebecca Weintraub Brendel, MD, JD, is the director of the Master’s Degree Program at the Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics. She bases her clinical work in psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) where she is the director of Law and Ethics at the Center for Law, Brain, and Behavior, provides medical oversight for the hospital’s inpatient guardianship team, and practices clinical and forensic psychiatry. Anthony Breu is Instructor in Medicine at the Harvard Medical School and Director of Resident Education at the VA Boston Healthcare System. Dr. Breu holds a BA in Bioethics from Brown University and an MD from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, followed by a year as Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Breu is a practicing Hospitalist at the VA Boston Healthcare System.

Dan Brock is the Frances Glessner Lee Professor of Medical Ethics, Emeritus, in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine. Prior to his arrival at Harvard, Professor Brock was Senior Scientist and a member of the Department of Clinical Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health. Until July 2002, he was Charles C. Tillinghast, Jr.
Dr. Brown is a pediatric radiologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and Director of the Hospital’s Institute for Professionalism and Ethical Practice (IPEP), which trains medical professionals to communicate with patients and families with more compassion and confidence.
