Paris “AJ” Adkins-Jackson, PhD, MPH, is a research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). She earned a BA in journalism from Humboldt State University, a MA in cultural anthropology from California Institute of Integral Studies, a MPH in applied biostatistics/epidemiology from Claremont Graduate University, and a PhD in psychometrics from Morgan State University. AJ completed postdoctoral training in health equity at the University of California at Los Angeles and neurology at MGH. Her research examines the impact of structural racism on cognitive health and her commitment to addressing scientific racism fuels her interest in bioethics. AJ recently published a model for measuring racism in academic health centers in the AMA Journal of Ethics.
