Matthew Riley, III, MBE, MDiv, received his BS in biology from Bowie State University, Maryland; his MDiv from Howard Divinity School, Washington, D.C.; and his master of bioethics from Harvard Medical School. Matthew’s bioethics research explores the question of what it means to be human in light of emerging biotechnologies that may alter human beings at their core. Matthew was selected to present his research at the 2019 HMS Master’s Research Symposium. He was selected by his peers to serve as the 2019 MBE Master’s Hooding Ceremony student speaker. Matthew dreams of teaching bioethics while continuing his research at the doctoral level. He loves fitness and cars.
