Paul McLean a former newspaper journalist in Los Angeles and Boston, is vice president of the nonprofit Community Voices in Medical Ethics and blogger and social network coordinator for the affiliate Community Ethics Committee (CEC). Through the Harvard Ethics Leadership, the CEC's research and reports inform specific policies and practices within the Harvard teaching hospitals with a unique perspective reflective of the diverse communities they serve. McLean, a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, is author of “Blood Lines: Fatherhood, Faith and Love in the Time of Stem Cells.” He is interested in developing CEC outreach and studying the intersection of health literacy and ethics.
