Peter Murray, MSM, MD, FAAP completed his Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at Yale in June and he will start as an attending at with the Division of Newborn Medicine at Tufts Floating Hospital for Children in July. Peter’s medical training began in Philadelphia at Temple University School of Medicine where he received his medical degree and he completed Pediatric Residency at AI DuPont Hospital for Children in Delaware. While in fellowship, he worked under his research mentor Dr. Mark Mercurio to help create an ethical framework regarding unilateral do not attempt resuscitation decisions in pediatrics. He further explored unilateral do not attempt resuscitation decisions via a nationwide survey of practicing neonatologists. He hopes to further explore the decisions made in end of life care in pediatrics and he has recently become interested in comparative effectiveness research in the NICU.
