Allan Peetz, MD is a fellow in Trauma, Acute Care Surgery and Critical Care at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He most recently finished his general surgery residency at The University of Chicago. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, with an academic focus inn cultural anthropology. He earned his medical doctorate from the University of Michigan Medical School. He has a special interest in surgical ethics. His main areas of interest are in informed consent and ethical principles behind surgical education conducting surgical research in vulnerable populations, especially those in low resource settings.
