Angela joined Harvard University in 2001 and Harvard Medical School in 2011. She manages all communications for the HMS Center for Bioethics, overseeing event marketing, print and digital communications, including web, social media, email, video, and the production of the Harvard Medical School Bioethics Journal.
For over six years she worked in the School’s Office of Communications and External relations, managing the Longwood Seminars and Talks@12 series, which drew a global audience and highlighted the research of faculty in the basic sciences and Harvard’s clinical affiliates. Angela also coordinated media relations and internal communications, including managing content for the launch of MyHMS, the School’s intranet. She served as a writer, copyeditor, art/production coordinator for Harvard Medicine News and the dean's annual report. She also writes for Harvard Medicine magazine and serves as a staff photographer.
In her previous roles directing alumni relations and communications at Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and UMass Boston she managed global events, social media and alumni publications.
Angela is a member of the Joint Committee on the Status of Women and represents the Harvard Union of Clerical and Technical Workers. She was nominated as a Harvard Hero in 2013. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of New Mexico and a master’s degree in journalism from Harvard.
