Fariba Houman, PHD, CIP currently serves as the Director of the Human Research Protections Program at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Schepens Eye Research Institute. She is responsible for operations oversight, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance of their biomedical IRB. Dr. Houman received a Ph.D. in microbiology and molecular biology from Tufts Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences.
Robin M. Jones, MD is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and a Staff Neurologist at Mass General Hospital. She received a BA in Philosophy from Yale, a MD from the University of Connecticut and trained in Neurology at MGH. She is interested in the issue of informed consent and assent in pediatrics as well as questions about advanced directives in the pediatric population. Robin is a recipient of the American Brain Tumor Association Research Fellowship.

David Jones completed his A.B. degree at Harvard College in 1993 (History and Science), and then pursued a Ph.D. in History of Science at Harvard University and an M.D. at Harvard Medical School, receiving both in 2001. After an internship in pediatrics at Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center, he trained as a psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, and then worked for two years as a staff psychiatrist in the Psychiatric Emergency Service at Cambridge Hospital.
F.M. Kamm, Ph.D. is Lucius Littauer Professor of Philosophy and Public Policy, Harvard Kennedy School, and Professor of Philosophy, FAS, Harvard University. She has authored Creation and Abortion; Morality, Mortality, vols. 1 and 2; Intricate Ethics;Ethics for Enemies: Terror, Torture and War; The Moral Target: Aiming at Right Conduct in War and Other Conflicts; BioethicalPrescriptions: To Create, End, Choose, and Improve Lives (all from Oxford University Press) and numerous articles.
Dr. Kaufman is Senior Consultant within the Hematology-Oncology department at Massachusetts General Hospital and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School (Pt).
