She is an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School and an associate psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Joshua L. Abrams is a patient care, labor, employment, and litigation attorney in the Office of General Counsel at Partners HealthCare System, Inc. In this position, Mr. Abrams represents Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Newton Wellesley Hospital, North Shore Medical Center, and all other Partners health-care entities in proceedings before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, Federal District Court, and all Massachusetts courts, as well as in arbitrations.

Marcia Angell, MD

Marcia Angell, MD, is a corresponding member of the faculty of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School and faculty associate in the Center for Bioethics. She stepped down as editor-in-chief of the New England Journal of Medicine on June 30, 2000. A graduate of Boston University School of Medicine, she trained in both internal medicine and anatomic pathology. She joined the editorial staff of the New England Journal of Medicine in 1979, became executive editor in 1988, and editor-in-chief in 1999.

J. Wesley Boyd, MD, PhD is on faculty at the Center for Bioethics and in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, is a staff psychiatrist at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), and is the co-founder and co-director of the Human Rights and Asylum Clinic at CHA. At Cambridge, he is a psychiatrist for one of the principle training and teaching teams and works closely with psychiatry residents and medical students, along with staff members and trainees in various other mental health disciplines. Dr. Boyd graduated with a BA cum laude from Yale in philosophy.

Allan M. Brandt is the Amalie Moses Kass Professor of the History of Medicine and Professor of the History of Science.  He holds a joint appointment between the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Harvard Medical School.  Brandt served as Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences from 2008 to 2012.  He earned his undergraduate degree at Brandeis University and a Ph.D.
