Perspectives in Biology and Medicine

Perspectives in Biology and Medicine has published a special issue on research ethics to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Henry K Beecher’s influential article in the New England Journal of Medicine. With ten original essays by distinguished bioethics scholars and researchers, the issue traces the biographical and historical contexts of Beecher’s contributions to the practice and ethics of clinical research and examines their remarkable legacy for the challenges we face today.

Published by Johns Hopkins University Press, the interdisciplinary journal publishes a wide range of essays, from neurobiology, genetics, evolution, ethics, philosophy, and history to medical education and clinical practice.
