The Community Ethics Committee is a diverse group of citizens from the Greater Boston area who meet regularly to provide public input on ethical aspects of health care.
Its volunteer members are diverse as to abilities, age, culture, education, ethnicity, language, religion, and socio-economic status. Created under the auspices of the Ethics Leadership Group in the Center for Bioethics at Harvard Medical School, and chaired by Carol Powers, the Committee is part of the nonprofit Community Voices in Medical Ethics, Inc., developed to serve both as public participation and a policy-review resource to the teaching hospitals, and as an educational resource to the varied communities from which the members come.
The CEC has published a number of white papers that are available for download. Please note that these reports should be read in their entirety. For any replication or duplication please contact email@example.com.
